Farm & Equipment Welding
Buckets, loader arms, attachments and implements repaired where the machine is, so you're not hauling it in and losing days.

What a mobile welder can fix
- 01Cracked buckets, side plates and cutting edges
- 02Loader arms and attachment mounts
- 03Skid-steer quick-attach plates
- 043-point hitch parts and drawbars
- 05Implement and equipment frames
- 06Stock trailers, gates and pens
- 07Cattle guards, pipe gates and pens
Before you call
- Make and model of the machine or implement
- Photos of the crack or break
- Where it is, and whether a truck can get there (wet fields can stop a service truck)
- Whether it's still running or has to be worked on where it stopped
Good to know
Before the welder arrives, park on level ground, lower attachments to the ground and shut the machine off. Clean off grease and mud around the break if you can. Cast iron parts are hard to weld and are looked at case by case.
Around Springfield
Greene and Christian counties have a lot of cattle and hay ground, so equipment requests are often loader buckets, bale spears, hay equipment, pipe gates and cattle guards. Rural Ozarks roads can have low-water crossings that close after heavy rain, so describe access.
Questions
Farm & equipment: common questions
Q01Can you weld in the field?
That's the point of a mobile welder. Access matters, so say how far the machine is from a road or drive.
Q02Do you do hard-facing or rebuilds?
Ask when you call. The welder will say what they can do on site and what's better done in a shop.
Q03How much will it cost?
Pricing is set by the welder for each job. Requests are free.
Q04Can cast iron be welded?
Sometimes. Cast iron cracks easily when welded and needs special care, so the welder looks at it case by case. Send photos and the part name.
Q05Do I need to provide power?
Usually not. Mobile welders normally bring their own engine-driven welder or generator.
Q06What should I tell the welder about the machine?
The make and model, what broke, photos of the break, and how far the machine is from a road or drive.
Q07Can a cattle guard or pipe gate be repaired on site?
Usually. Cracked pipe, broken hinges and sagging pipe gates are common on-site jobs. Say how far the job is from a drive and whether livestock will be nearby.
